Happy first day of September!!! i'm so excited it's here. haha yes, much different attitude since the last time I posted. I haven't cried for two days!! That makes me happy. Very happy. I'm okay with being here. Another change comes tomorrow though when Julie moves in. I should be okay with that though.
Wednesday was hell on earth. It really wasn't THAT bad, but it was pretty bad. The move in wasn't so bad. Climbing three flights of stairs is not fun. Thankfully it wasn't four. Got things set up and started unpacking. Parents decided to leave a little after two and that's when I lost it. mom started crying, Dad started crying, Chris started crying, I was bawling. I was really surprised honestly to see dad cry. He doesn't show emotions except anger. We all know he shows anger really well!! So my daddy loves me...awww. I cried for much of the day...hardly got a thing done. I eventually did get my clothes unpacked which now I realize I hardly have any. I was too conservative. My room is very empty, at least my side. I put my circle chair on her side of the room until she comes with the futon. I still have some more cleaning and organizing to do before she comes, and after that is when we can decide where perminant things will go. Like the fridge will go under my bed, the futon under hers...I'll try and put pictures up when things are all settled. it's a small room, but you can put a lot in it.
Thursday and today I spent much of my time with my peer mentor group. Thursday I was with them from nine until quarter to six. it was a long day yesterday! I had a lot of fun though. We played ice breaker games, we played Big Booty...I'm not even gonna try and explain. it's so much fun, but it's hard to explain. We went to lunch as a group, and some of us went to the picnic later. Went to a ton of programs, all of them were wonderful. Today we set up our advisor meetings, got our text books and that was about it. I didn't get my gym book because I don't have $58 to buy it right now. that's the only book this semester that I need to buy. Everything else I could rent. and that's why I really like this university!!! I just saved myself about $500, if not more. So that's pretty cool.
tomorrow I have nothing going on until Julie comes. Then we've got our first football game starting at seven. so that's cool. I'm planning on going to that, unless I get really REALLY bored and decide to go home early. I don't want to miss the football game though. arg... tuesday starts classes and I've got one...math. I'm in beginning algebra...I'm gonna so ace it. i'm paying how much money to be in a class I took my freshmen year of high school and aced it then????? Yeah....that's what you get for sucky ACT scores. oh well..I'm over it. I'm kind of excited for school to start. I'm a college kid now!! haha Never dreamed this day would actually be here. Now it is, and I'm almost in awe. Don't know what to do with it.
Well I don't have anything to do, but I need to find something to do. I've got the Packer game on. They suck...lol I went through last night and wrote out the important TV channels because this is cable now..I've got dish at home. So I found Lifetime, WE, Weather Channel, both CBS and NBC Madison stations. Because we're in a weird location, we get both Madison and Milwaukee stations. Well I'm from the Madison viewing area, so I'm gonna want to watch Madison news...not Milwaukee!! So I made sure to take note of that. It's gonna be interesting. Oh, but the biggest plus to cable...they've got SoapNet!!!! With dish you've got to pay extra to have that. Cables got it. So when I'm gone during the day I can watch Y&R at six and Days at 10. So I'm excited!! I hope Julie gets along with this...lol If not...new room mate please!!!
